20 x 24 Polaroid Camera
March 19-23,2007
Anna Tomczak Studio
Lake Helen, Florida

A Special Invitation is presented to commission a portrait of your family, faithful companions and or a tableaux of your priceless memorabilia & treasures, by artist Anna Tomczak.

Photographing the rare (and possibly extinct) 20” x 24” format Polaroid Camera, Anna will create an original, one of a kind Polacolor Image Transfer, hand printed on archival art paper for your collection.

Anna’s artwork is in several private, corporate and museum collections, including the Florida Museum of Art ,Tampa, Polk, Harn, Norton and Brooklyn Museums of Art, Volusia County Courthouse, McGraw-Hill, Mayo Clinic, Polaroid Collection and Alinari Museum in Florence, Italy.

There are only six available 20 x 24 Polaroid cameras, with a few in museums. It weighs about 300#, produces one of a kind images of incredible clarity, & is beautifully constructed of wood and brass. Someone once described it as a “cross between an armoire and a volkswagon.” The Image transfer is made from the negative’s dyes which are pressed & diffused into dampened art paper. This yields an image of rich and muted colors similar to paintings and frescoes. A glossy print is also possible.

Please contact Anna (call 386-228-3404 or email anna@annatomczak.com) for a brochure. Requests should be placed by March 1st, 2007.

Fee $ 2500.

This project is funded in part by an Artist Enhancement Award from Volusia County and the State of Florida.
