Learn these antique photographic processes by using paint-on emulsions of royal blue and earthy brown. Smooth surface papers and cloth (cotton, muslin or silk) are coated, dried and exposed in the sun or UV light then developed in water.

Cyanotype Blue Print

Cyanotype and Brown are 2 of the oldest photographic methods, with materials still available. Later you can work at home or studio without expensive equipment. This can be combined with drawing, paints and collage. Bring large negatives, pressed botanicals, or other flat objects (feathers, lace, transparent materials, x-rays, digital transparencies).
