The Horn Residence, Deland, FL: This series of photographs printed on metal were commissioned by architect Kevin Schweizer and owners John and Karen Horn as an assemblage reflective of the environment and architecture of the residence. Built into a natural sinkhole in Central Florida by Nils Schweizer (a student of Frank Lloyd Wright) in the 1960’s, his son Kevin Schweizer did the restoration on the Horn Residence in 2016. Kevin became committed to organic architecture, which is a philosophy of architecture that promotes harmony between human habitation and the natural world through design approaches. This became a driving force in my creation of these metal prints, installed into the architectural design and the landscape of the residence.
